Middletown

Appropriately named for its geographic location on Aquidneck Island (sandwiched between Portsmouth to the north and Newport to the south), Middletown has plenty of reasons not to be left out of the conversation of places to live or visit in RI. With amenities like Newport National Golf Club and two premier beaches – Sachuset (a.k.a. “second”) and Third beach, many out-of-towners have a reason to drop by Middletown in the summer. For the year-rounders, Middletown offers a healthy mix of some of the more affordable living options on Aquidneck Island, but also ranges up to the luxury shoreline properties along stretches like Indian and Tuckerman Avenues.
